There are days when I'm sitting on top of the world and everything in life is flowing in the right direction. Then there are days when I am scatterbrained and wish have no clue about life itself. You know those kind days. The ones where you wish Jesus would come down himself, sit next to you and tell you exactly what you need to do to make it. Well, there is a very small chance that the Lord will appear to me in person to fix my life. Instead, he allows me to go through certain life experiences to learn lessons that will teach me how to live, how to cope and how to win. I've gone through many of these life lessons and today I'm going to share a few that have changed my life in the best way ever. Today I'm going to answer this simple question.

Let's jump right into all the small things you can learn to today that will change your life forever. Let me start by saying that the things I'm going to mention are not magic tricks. Meaning, that you have to apply what you've learned in order to change what you want to change. I know that there are people out there who I coin "forever learners". They are always reading, studying, analyzing and researching but never apply anything that they've learned. As a result, they never move forward in life or move a lot slower than others. So if there was one thing I would want you to take away from this post is that you should apply what you've learned in order to get where you want to be. With that said, let's get right into it. 

5 Things You Can Learn Right Now That Will Change Your Life

  1. Learn that God has a wonderful blueprint for your life.
    1. Despite what popular moves, books or most coaches tell you, you won't discover your life's meaning by looking within yourself. Everyone and everything starts and ends with God and he makes everything and everyone with purpose, intention, and uniqueness. Once you let this lesson sink in, you will be relieved of all the pressure of trying to be someone that you were not created to be. You will spend more time, enjoying the ride of discovering all the wonderful things that make-up YOU! 
  2. Learn that you will make mistakes.
    1. But every day you wake up is another chance to make things right. Another chance to start again. Another chance to take the first to build the life you want to build. You will live a life of less fear and regret because you will approach your days with the knowledge you've picked up from your previous mistakes. Accept the mistakes and move forward. 
  3. Learn how to sit in silence. 
    1. Learning how to slow down your thoughts and focus, reduces stress. There are days when I feel like there are a thousand little people running around in my head yelling demands at me (sounds coo-coo I know).  Over time I've learned that when I get home I intentionally take about 5 to 10 minutes to sit in silence and breath slowly. I wasn't meditating really, just sitting and breathing. You can fill this time with prayer, devotion or whatever you need to do to settle your mind. 
  4. Learn to set goals for the day.
    1. Define clear goals for yourself at the start of your day. This helps you stay productive, especially when you have a busy schedule. Try to keep the list between 2 and 3 goals and make them achievable and things that help your self-development. 
  5. Learn to be grateful. 
    1. I'm going to talk about myself here. Learning to be grateful has really helped me appreciate everything that comes into my life. From the small things such as the ability to feel the sun on my skin and laughing at a joke with friends, to the big things like a career promotion or the ability to come out of a crazy life experience. 

There you have it, 5 things you can learn right now that will change your life forever. They seem small, but learning and doing these things will change your outlook on life. Try to be open to learning and experiencing the small things and you will begin to see big changes.
